Our client is a Not For Profit organisation that has 25+ years' experience in delivering high quality care services in QLD. They have a variety of specialisms including Aged Care, Home Care, Respite Care, Dementia Care, NDIS, Disability and Health Services.
Your new role
- Providing nursing care for clients in accordance with accepted nursing practices and the organisations policies
- Deliver a holistic approach to care, which focuses on the needs and rights of the client and respects lifestyle choices within their chosen environment
- Liaise with other health professionals, clients, families and staff
- Administer and review medications and treatments
- Observe, record and report on client's conditions and treatment including determining the appropriate care plan for the client
- Routine checks and observations
- Wound management
- Assist with people handling tasks when required, including sit to stand transfer, bed mobility and hoisting
- Provide comprehensive handovers at shift changes
- Maintain appropriate documentation including progress notes
What you'll need to succeed
- Current AHPRA registration
- Queensland Police Certificate prior to commencement
- If required to have contact with clients, be vaccinated (and maintain up-to-date vaccinations) against Influenza and Covid-19
- A current Queensland Drivers licence
- Current CPR Certificate
- Aged Care, Hospital, or Community Health experience will be highly regarded
What you'll get in return
- Full Time, Permanent position based in Townsville (80 hours per fortnight)
- $36+ per hour (excluding overtime)
