This organisation is the recognised leader in audio in Australia, they are going through a growth phase and are now requiring an experienced Assistant Accountant to begin in their team in Geelong immediately

Your new role
As an experienced Accounts Officer, you will be required to undertake duties including:

• Full function Accounts Payables and Receivables
• Bank Reconciliation for everyday business transaction accounts
• Preparing account summary
• Monthly Reconciliations of allocated accounts
• Working on Month-end close process
• Working on quarterly BAS lodgement, Payroll tax lodgement
• Working on monthly general journal and accrual process.
• Other duties as required

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience in a similar Accounts Officer role
• A tertiary qualification in a related field is beneficial but not essential
• Proficient skills in the use of Microsoft Office
• Working knowledge of journal processing
• Experience in MYOB Advance or Xero is an advantage
• Strong communication and time management skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team to achieve result
