Accounts Clerk

This well-established, national business within the retail and wholesale sector is proudly 100% Australian family owned and operated. They are currently experiencing a period of growth and are seeking to appoint a forward-thinking Accounts Clerk to work in their Adelaide head office. This is a rare opportunity for someone who is looking to be an integral part of a fast-paced Finance and Administration team and to utilise their knowledge of wholesale retail and the FMCG industry.

Your new role
Your role will be diverse with a focus on Accounts Receivable and processing customer orders, as well as associated administration tasks. Duties will include:
  • End to end Accounts Payable processing
  • Invoicing, receipting, allocating payments
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Answering calls from customers and sales reps
  • Credit checking new customers
  • Following up on overdue accounts
  • Liaising with various stakeholders
    • Ad hoc accounting support duties
    • Organising and Manifesting Freight

What you'll need to succeed
You will possess experience in Accounts Receivable and an all-round Admin position, preferably in a busy environment. You’ll have excellent attention to detail, interpersonal skills and the ability to problem solve, as well as a confident manner to initiate process improvements where appropriate. The ideal candidate will also be flexible with taking on varied administrative and accounts tasks and will grow with the position. Experience with MYOB Advanced is desirable but not essential.
