Accounts Assistant - Melbourne CBD location - Permanent Position

A successful and well established commercial real estate company is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their fast-paced an collaborative team.

Your new role
Your new role is responsible for accurately, efficiently, and effectively fulfilling the accounting duties of the role and upholding the culture and values of the business.

  • Invoice reconciliations
  • Preparation of month end reports (AP, AR, Fee analysis, Journals)
  • Assist with month end and financial year reporting
  • Prepare end of month superannuation payment report
  • Set up new employees in payroll software
  • Process Payments
  • Manage the petty cash
  • Provide assistance to Property Management, Sales & Trust departments

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have a thorough and competent understanding of MYOB, bookkeeping, and general accounting principles. As well as:

  • 2+ years in similar accounting role
  • A professional, positive manner
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be organised and team oriented
  • Strong computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets & accounting software
  • Previous experience in commercial real estate desirable but not essential
