This well-known State Government Organisation and one of Australia’s largest Regional Public Transport is currently seeking an experience Site Engineer to monitor and action of Third-Party Access Applications and Permits, for third parties to obtain access to and carry out works across their rail network. This is an immediate start, on an initial 12-month contract role with the opportunity to extend.
Your new role
As an Access Engineer, you will be responsible for the following below:
What you'll need to succeed
- Evaluate and respond to Access Application requests to undertake works and obtain access to the V/Line Network, including the issuing of Site Access Permits.
- Report on Site Access Permit status and escalate issues, including assisting in further development of processes and systems to provide progress reporting across Third Party Access Applications and works
- Provide and advice to the Third-Party Access Team and contribute to the Network Closure Access Plan.
- Review locations where works are proposed, providing advice and support on matters required for completion.
You will have a qualification in engineering with demonstrated experience working in an operational Rail network and knowledge and understanding of the application of safe working systems used in the organisations network. Experience in rail systems, track/civil or structures.
