Your new company
Based centrally in Perth Metro, our client is a large, complex Government Trading Enterprise. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Corporate and Government Relations Advisor to join their team.

Your new role
As Corporate and Government Relations Advisor you will be responsible for responsible for: preparing and implementing a broad range of strategic communications and stakeholder engagement plans; ensuring effective media relations; providing reputational and issues management advice; coordinating government relations; and overseeing internal and online communication. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement a Stakeholder Engagement and Communications Strategy.
  • Develop, execute and manage communications and stakeholder engagement plans for major projects and activities, including oversight of all content.
  • Respond to and advise on reputational issues and maintain a positive image through effective media relations and issues management.
  • Prepare Issues Briefs for major issues
  • Deliver the annual Government Relations and Media Relations Plans (including Social Media strategy)
  • Assist in the development and management of the annual operating budgets for Corporate & Government Affairs.

What you'll need to succeed


  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate strategic communications plans and activities across a diverse organisation and the provision of strategic communication and stakeholder management advice to Executive members and senior managers
  • High-level experience in media relations, issues management and in managing organisational reputation
  • High-level experience in government relations and Ministerial liaison, including the ability to establish and maintain appropriate networks
  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism or equivalent.

What you'll get in return

This is an immediate start opportunity, within which you will have significant autonomy to deliver best practice and successful outcomes. Initially this is a 3-6 month assignment, with an hourly rate of $65-$75 (inclusive of casual loading) + superannuation contributions.
