EL1 Public Relations Manager

Opportunity to run a highly reputable and well-renowned national campaign

Your new company
You will be working for a National government agency, on a lucrative national campaign that helps to collate and distribute information that informs national leaders on a wide range of matters importance to Australia. Operating in a dynamic environment, they are proactively seeking technology as a way access and integrate the information that is collected, leading to an increase on the insights that they are able to provide and therefore the outcomes that are able to drive from this too.

Your new role
As the PR Manager you will be working with the appointed PR agency and your team to create and deliver the advertising creative and media buy for the campaign. You will undertake proactive media engagement, including negotiating media partnerships and leveraging opportunities through the campaign and media buy. You will be strategic and creative to develop innovative ways to engage with the Australia public in order to encourage willingness of participation and engagement. You will be responsible for establishing key partnerships with people and organisations Australia wide.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful you will have been in a significant position in communication, journalism, public relations or marketing previously. You will have a demonstrated ability to develop and successfully implement campaign and communications strategies or public relations strategies. You will have a strong ability to manage external providers and build mutually trusting and respectful relationships. You will thrive in a busy role where you can manage complex projects and competing deadlines. You will be an effective team leader. Experience working on public relations and government campaigns is highly desired.

What you'll get in return
You will be offered a 12 month non-ongoing contract, with potential extension, in a highly interesting role working on a significant communications project.
