Procurement & Supply Chain Officer

Provide Procurement & Supply Chain support to busy team - 12 month role on offer
Purchasing and Supply Chain Officer for 12 month + fixed term contract with large well known organisation.

Supporting their commercial team you will assist with the provision of their operational supply chain (purchasing, inventory management and logistics) services.

  • Identification and support of the management of the purchasing and minor package expediting and logistics risks for business units.
  • Use of the ERP System, delivering complex order processing and reporting, minor package expediting, quality assurance and supply chain monitoring.
  • Development and maintenance of appropriate contacts and relationships for the business units at externally with suppliers.
  • Support the implementation of the operational business plans that deliver the supply chain strategy, planning frameworks and deliverables, including procedures, systems, tools, reporting and processes.
  • Delivery of purchasing and minor package expediting and logistics services ensuring optimum benefits and effective management of risk for the business unit.

Skills & Experience:
  • Purchasing, inventory, warehouse and logistics experience, preferably in a similar industry or environment.
  • Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • High level of analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of purchasing, inventory, warehouse and logistics practices and trends
  • Good level of business and financial literacy
  • High ability to drive/influence workplace health and safety requirements.
